What is Tektonic?

Tektonic is an open, industry-wide conference built for every shop—no matter your size, brand, or business model. Whether you're a veteran owner, an up-and-coming technician, or a service advisor ready to lead, Tektonic is your opportunity to learn, connect, and grow in a space that’s built for you.

Will there be Tekmetric training?

Yes! Select sessions will offer Tekmetric training for users of all levels. Content session information will be released at a later date.

Are meals included?

Yes! Your ticket includes breakfast, lunch, and refreshments during both conference days. Some evening events include food and drinks, too. The VIP Add-On includes a private dinner with Tekmetric leadership and special guests.

Is this conference only for Tekmetric users?

No! Tektonic is open to the entire auto repair industry. While some sessions will include Tekmetric training, most content is focused on broader topics like shop operations, technology trends, customer experience, and leadership.

How can I apply to be a speaker?

If you’ve got a shop-tested story or playbook that serves auto repair shops, send your idea and experience through the Speaker Proposal Form. We review submissions on a rolling basis.

I want to sponsor Tektonic—how do I get started?

Sponsor registration is open! Please complete this Prospectus Request form and we’ll walk you through available packages, booth options, and opportunities to connect with attendees.

Is there a hotel block or special rate?

Yes, we’ve secured discounted rates at the Marriott Marquis. Hotel booking details will be shared after ticket purchase.

Which airport should I fly into?

George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) are both nearby. IAH is approximately 25 minutes away; HOU is approximately 20 minutes away.

Will transportation be provided to and from the venue?

Attendees are responsible for their own transportation.

How do I login to Tekmetric?

Follow these steps to log into your Tekmetric account:

Go to the Tekmetric website: shop.tekmetric.com.
Enter your credentials: Use the email and password associated with your account.
Click "Log In": After entering your credentials, click the "Log In" button to access your dashboard.

How can I connect my shop to Tekmetric?

Ideally, make sure you have a good Wi-Fi connection. If not, it’s still possible to connect through cellular devices or by tethering to your phone.

How many users or devices can I connect with Tekmetric?

As many as you want! Seriously. All your mechanics, technicians, service writers, and managers can access the platform. As the shop owner, you can regulate access permissions.

What happens if my internet connection is lost?

In the event of an internet outage, you can switch to tethering with a cellular device. Tekmetric operates efficiently, even on connection speeds as low as 1mb per second, so you can easily use it on your phone. You can even connect via dial-up without any slowdown.

What browser does Tekmetric support?

Tekmetric is cloud-based, so it is designed to work on the most recent versions of Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Google Chrome, as long as your shop has internet. However, our developers built Tekmetric in a Chrome environment, so we recommend using Google Chrome to have the best user experience.

How do I set up Slack?

Subscription and Pricing

Do you charge based on the number of users?

No, Tekmetric subscriptions are priced per shop, not per user. Adding a new shop simply requires purchasing an additional subscription.

Can I access integrated payments with my Tekmetric subscription?

Sure! While integrated payments are not included by default in the Tekmetric subscription, once your shop is activated, you'll have full access to our integrated payment features at no extra cost. Our seamless activation process ensures a smooth transition for our users, making it easy to unlock the benefits of integrated payments. Please note that monthly processing fees will apply based on volume and transaction types.

Does Tekmetric support multi-shop owners (MSOs)?

Absolutely! No matter how many locations you run, Tekmetric can help with everything from parts ordering, smooth RO setup, to financial reporting and more. You can find more information about using Tekmetric with MSOs here.

System Features

How frequently is Tekmetric updated?

We're always making Tekmetric better! Typically, we roll out updates at least once a month, both minor improvements and major features. Updates can include new integrations, tracking metrics, shortcuts, or design enhancements aimed at improving user experience.

Can I transfer my data from my current system to Tekmetric?

Absolutely! Tekmetric offers data migration services from over 150+ Shop Management Systems. The specifics of the data migration vary depending on your current system. For more details on what data can be transferred, please contact us or refer to our Data Migration Resources.

How does Text to Pay work?

With Tekmetric's Text-to-Pay feature, you can send invoices directly to your customers via a text message. You can see how the entire process looks like here.

Do Accounts payable transfer over in Tekmetric?

Yes, Accounts Payable (A/P) data can be transferred into Tekmetric, especially if you're using accounting software integrations like QuickBooks. Tekmetric supports transferring your vendor payments, including those related to sublets, through our Accounting Link feature. When you record a sublet job in Tekmetric, and select the option to send it to Accounts Payable, it will appear in your financial reports until the payment is completed. This allows seamless tracking and integration of accounts payable within your shop management and accounting processes.

Does Tekmetric have digital vehicle inspections?

Absolutely! Our Digital Vehicle Inspection software lets your team send photos and videos to keep your customers informed and to share detailed inspection findings with them. You can find out more about this feature here.

How do I manage my Inventory?

Inventory management is a Tekmetric feature included in all of our plans. You can use our real-time parts management system to stay on track with your inventory without any hassle. You can learn more about Tekmetric’s inventory management here.
