Fraudulent Job Offer Warning

Practical information to avoid job scams and how to identify real Tekmetric offers.

Recruitment Fraud Disclaimer

We've learned that scammers are circulating fraudulent job offers that appear to come from Tekmetric. These imposters pose as Tekmetric recruiters or representatives and ask for personal information, payment, or the purchase of equipment to move the "hiring" process forward.
Be clear on this: Tekmetric never sends unsolicited job offers, and we never ask candidates for fees or funds at any point in recruitment.

What is recruitment fraud?

Recruitment fraud is a scam in which someone impersonates a legitimate company, like Tekmetric,  to trick people into handing over money or personal information. It usually happens online and can take many forms: fake websites, spoofed emails, bogus virtual interviews, or a recruiter's identity copied without permission. These scams can be sophisticated and convincing, so it pays to know the warning signs.

How to spot recruitment fraud

Treat any of these as a red flag:
  • It doesn't route through our official channels. Apply only through our careers page (tekmetric.com/careers) or our applicant tracking system (job-boards.greenhouse.io/tekmetric). If a link leads anywhere else, be skeptical.
  • The email domain isn't exactly @tekmetric.com. We use one domain for recruiting email — for example, recruiter@tekmetric.com. Any other domain (including lookalikes like @tekmetric-careers.com or @tekmetric.co) is a red flag.
  • The "recruiter" moves you to a personal or messaging app. Our team communicates through official channels. We won't conduct hiring over WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, or personal Gmail accounts.
  • There's no real interview. Our process always includes one or more virtual interviews with Tekmetric employees. We don't hire through chat platforms or text-only interviews, and we don't make offers without an interview.
  • You're asked for financial details too early. We never request bank account, credit card, or other financial information before you've received and signed an official offer letter. A request for this earlier in the process is a clear warning sign.
